USED FENDER GUITAR AMPLIFIER PERFORMER 1000
Very nice sound quality, very smooth, tube preamp on the overdrive sounds great. I had actually narrowed my amp choices down to 3 small tube amps, the ValveKing 112 Combo Amp, the Crate V16 Palomino 15W, and the Blues Jr. The Performer was a used amp they had in, I sat down, plugged it in, and was blown away by the wall of sound, not loud, but extra chunky. this amp was made in U.S.A. in the early nineties.it was fenders second stab at a ‘hybrid’amp.i find the amp fairly versatile but then again i don’t play gigs with it.it has 2 channels,one clean the other is assigned to give you two levels of tube style gain.
these channels can easily be switched by foot switch or manually.it also has an effects loop on it aswell as external 8ohm speaker adapter and line out.this amp has all the features i want or i would have bought a different one,it has equalizers for each channel including bass,treble,middle and a mid boost.it also has a spring reverb but this i only use on the clean channel to give it a bit more warmth along with the mid boost,seeing as the clean channel doesn’t have a little help from the tube.
