Very responsive when you set the spring tension just right. the only beef i got is the cheap beaters it comes with. the felt turns to dust quick. other than that it still works and i’ve been beating on it pretty hard.

one thing to worry about is replacement parts. the chain is connected to the pedal and can’t be taken off or put back on. same with the pedal to the heel plate. but until i snap the thing off i won’t know.
